چکیده

The quantum effect of light nuclei in materials is usually considered as lattice vibration and zero-point motion from an ab initio perspective. Here we start full-quantized particles take the muon example, considering two-body quantized system electrons within two-component density functional theory, which can calculate related wave functions directly automatically taking into account muon. We first simulate correlation energy pair-correlation function by Monte Carlo, then construct a self-consistent loop to solve hyperfine couplings are estimated. This attempt reveal different finally find this fundamental method agrees better with experiments shows good potential for further such calculations.

A Density Functional Theory Study of Structure of Phosphonic Acid

The molecular structure of the stable conformation of phosphonic acid in gas phase has beencomputed by employing complete geometry optimization in Density Functional Theory(DFT) methods. The methods used for calculations are B3LYP, BP86 and B3PW91 that havebeen studied in two series of basis sets: D95** and 6-31+G(d,p) for hydrogen and oxygenatoms; LANL2DZ for phosphorus. Bond lengths and angle...

A Density Functional Theory Study of Boron Nitride Nano-Ribbons

The electronic and structural properties of pristine and carbon doped (C-doped) boron nitride nano-ribbons(BNNRs) have been studied employing density functional theory (DFT) calculations. Total energies, gapenergies, dipole moments, and quadrupole coupling constants (qcc) have been calculated in the optimizedstructures of the investigated BNNRs. The results indicated that the stability and gap ...

Reproducibility in density functional theory calculations of solids.

The widespread popularity of density functional theory has given rise to an extensive range of dedicated codes for predicting molecular and crystalline properties. However, each code implements the formalism in a different way, raising questions about the reproducibility of such predictions. We report the results of a community-wide effort that compared 15 solid-state codes, using 40 different ...

Current-density functional theory of the response of solids

The response of an extended periodic system to a homogeneous field ~of wave-vector q50) cannot be obtained from a q50 time-dependent density functional theory ~TDDFT! calculation, because the RungeGross theorem does not apply. Time-dependent current–density functional theory is needed and demonstrates that one key ingredient missing from TDDFT is the macroscopic current. In the low-frequency li...

Electron-phonon coupling in metallic solids from density functional theory

We present a study of electron-phonon coupling and superconductivity in metallic systems, based on first-principles electronic structure and linear response calculations. Our results are based on the density functional theory and are derived by using the full-potential linear muffin-tin orbitals method. In particular, calculations for phonon spectra, Eliashberg spectral function, and electron-p...
